Ok, so that may seem like a strange thing to be blogging about - especially when the son in question is undeniably perfect in every way (at least in my eyes - apart from when he doesn't keep his bedroom tidy etc). But the fact is there - Dan has managed to get the part of Ugly in Honk. It's a retelling of the Ugly Duckling, with a whole range of different songs and characters in it. And I am really excited and pleased that my little boy is going to be starring in the lead role.
I know that this means lots of practice at his songs, to the point where we almost sick of hearing them, but if the performance of Joseph last year is anything to go by, then I also know that this will be cracking show and that I'll be sitting there with tears in my eyes when he does his solo.
And if any of the rest of you are any good at diary planning, then come along to see the show - Honk! by Belper Junior Musical Theatre at the end of November. I'll find the dates and times for you when I'm back home! Promise.
